User Guide for Bulk Update Delivery Status for Merchants with Self Delivery

1.0 Overview

PaiPai Seller app comes with an integrated Order Management system and Delivery Management system, through which the merchants can handle the order processing and fulfilment.

However, some merchants use their self-delivery system, delivery app and POS system to process their orders. For the ONDC orders, the status of the orders processed through their systems needs to be marked in the Seller platform as well.

For this reason, to ease the process of updating the delivery status of these orders, ‘Bulk Update Delivery Status’ feature has been implemented.

Through this feature, the merchants that use their own Delivery system/POS can update the delivery status of orders in bulk in a single step.


Requirement: The outlet’s logistics settings should be configured as ‘Self with Zero Charges’.

2.0 Bulk Update Delivery Status 

2.1 Direct Method

Step 1: Navigate to the Delivery Module and Select ‘Bulk Update Delivery Status’

  • You can see the Bulk Update Delivery Status page where the orders are listed.

  • When you receive an order and accept it, it will be registered here in the tabulated format.

  • The table consists of the Order Date, Order Number, the Outlet name, Delivery Date, Delivery staff assigned to it, current order status of the order and what the next status of the order should be as the order is processed to the next step.

NOTE: Only those orders which are not delivered or cancelled or rejected will be shown.

  • In the example shown in the screenshots, you can see two orders with the order numbers 1001- 1070 and 1001-1071

  • You can check the status of these two orders in the OMS.

  • You can see that the status in the Bulk Delivery Status Update screen is the same as it is shown in the OMS.

Step 2: Now to move these two orders to the next step, click on the Bulk Delivery Assign Button

  • You can see the Edit Screen.

Step 3: Click on the Remove icon in the first column for any order that you do not want to update.

Step 4: Click on the Update Button.

  • You can see that the current status of the order has been changed.

  • Now you can go back to the OMS and check the status.

  • The status has been changed on both of the orders.

  • Following this process you can update the delivery status of the orders in bulk.

2.2 Export/Import Method

Step 1: In the Bulk Update delivery status page, click on the Export Button.

Step 2: In the Spreadsheet, remove the orders that you do not want to update for.

Step 3: Change the delivery boy and the next order status for the orders.

Step 4: Select the text and update the format to ‘plain text’.

Step 5: Save the file in excel format.

Step 6: Go back to the Bulk Update delivery status page and click on Import button.

Step 7: Upload the excel file and click on import.

Step 8: Once the Import is done, the status will be changed.
