Overview
This user guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to raise a stock request from a distributor to a warehouse or unit. By following these instructions, distributors can effectively create stock requests, specify the required quantity, delivery date, and add relevant remarks. The guide also includes information on changing the status of the stock request and submitting it for approval. Raising stock requests ensures efficient inventory management and timely fulfillment of stock requirements.
Steps with Description:
Login to distributor account:
Access the distributor account or portal using your credentials.
Once logged in, you will land on the dashboard.
Access the Inventory Module:
On the dashboard, navigate to the Inventory Module.
Look for the option Stock Requests and click on it.
Create a New Stock Request:
On the Stock Requests page, locate the action button in the right corner.
Click on the Create New option to initiate a new stock request.
Specify Stock Request Details:
From the dropdown, select the type as Stock Indent.
Select the For Store option, which represents your outlet/distributor.
Choose the From Store from the dropdown, representing your warehouse or unit.
Enter a descriptive name for the stock request.
Select the quantity basis from the dropdown, based on your requirements.
Enter the desired delivery date and time.
Add any relevant remarks if necessary.
Note: Ensure to provide accurate details such as request quantity and delivery date.
Add Items to the Stock Request:
Scroll down and click on the Add Items button.
Specify the items you want to request by clicking on the Add button.
Enter Requested Quantity:
In the Store Requested column of the Stock Request Items tab, enter the requested quantity for each item.
Create the Stock Request:
Once all the required details are filled, click on the Create button.
The stock request will be created and initially set to a pending status.
Change Status and Submit for Approval:
Locate the action button on the right corner of the stock request page.
Click on it and select Change Status.
Choose the option to Send for Approval to submit the stock request for approval.
The status of the stock request will change to Pending for Approval.
Note: Regularly check the status of your stock request to stay updated on its progress.
Approve and Submit the Request:
Again, click on the action button and select Change Status.
Change the status to Approve to approve the stock request.
The status will change to Approved.
Once approved, click on the action button again and select Change Status.
Change the status to Submit Request to submit the stock request.
Check the Request Status:
Once the request is submitted, the warehouse/unit user will be able to check and process your stock request.
