1.0 Overview
In ONDC, when a purchase is made, the seller provides the goods and the buyer provides the money.
However, the transaction doesn't happen directly between those two entities. The buyer platform acts as the middleman between them and facilitates the purchase. This buyer platform is also responsible for acquiring the said buyer.
For this reason, the buyer platform charges a fee called the Buyer finder fee.
So, when a purchase is made, the convenience fee that was charged is divided into two parts. One is the buyer finder fee and the other is the seller convenience fee.
In the invoice sent for the sellers, the buyer finder fee is deducted by the buyer and the remaining fee will be noted as the Seller Convenience fee.
By default, the buyer finder fee is 1 percent.
Now, with Bitsila’s new updates, this Buyer finder fee can be configured.
