User Guide for Customer Segmentation

1. Overview


Bitsila customer segmentation automates the process of grouping customers based on their purchasing patterns. This enables businesses to establish personalized communication strategies, resulting in effective marketing and customer engagement. By leveraging customer segments, businesses can drive sales growth and enhance customer retention rates. Discover how you can use Bitsila software to unlock the full potential of customer segmentation and maximize benefits for your business.


2. Step By Step Guide To Use Customer Segmentation


Step 1: Open the Segments Interface


  • Login to the Bitsila software


  • Navigate from the left-hand side menu and select the marketing module.


  • Click on the segments in the marketing module


  • The Segments interface will be opened.



Step 2: Access All The Customer Segments.

  • Upon opening the segments interface, get a summary of the total number of segments created and the number of segments in active and inactive statuses just below the Segments. 


  • All the segments are displayed with relevant details like segment name, description, segment type, status, and last update. Bitsila software automatically creates 9 customer segments such as:

  1. Potential customers

  2. New customers

  3. Champions

  4. Loyal customers

  5. Inactive customers

  6. Recently transacted customers

  7. Cart abandoned customers

  8. Today transacted customers

  9. Important customer


  • Businesses can also create custom segments based on their marketing requirements using Create New option in the top right corner.


Step 3: Get An Overview Of Each Customer Segment


  • Get an overview of each customer segment by clicking on the segment name for example Potential customers.



  • Upon clicking the segment name, You can see a window with 4 tabs i.e General info, Segment rule, Promotions, and Offers



  • In the General Info tab get the name and description on what basis the segment is created, Also get the details of the name of the staff who created the segment and when the segment has been created.


 

  • You can also get an edit button in the top right corner of the General info tab where you can edit the name and description of the segment at your convenience and update.



  • Navigate to the Segment Rule tab, where you will find details about the rules used to generate segments. In the Potential Customers segment, customers who have placed 0 orders are segmented.

    


  • Navigate to the Promotions tabget all the promotions sent to the particular customer segment, and search for any promotion by entering its promotion code and filter based on the channels sent.

  


  • Navigate to the Offers tabget all the offers sent to the particular segment, and search offers by applying filters based on the statuses like active, inactive, expired, etc.





  • You can use the Actions drop-down in the top right corner on the same screen to clone, create offers, change the status, and delete the customer segment.




Step 4: Create Custom Segmentation Based On The Business Requirements


  • Bitsila allows creating the custom segments based on the business requirements apart from 9 customer segments created automatically. 


  • Click on the Create New option in the top right corner of the segments interface.
